Cortney Lunt

After graduating from college in art over 25 years ago, Cortney Lunt became a full time mom (eventually having 4 kids) and a part time artist. Family was always her main priority, and continues to be so, but she is finding more time for her art as her family has grown up. She loves to paint anything that brings joy, and finds that memories from raising her children bring a lot of inspiration. Some of her favorite paintings are ones that help people remember that it’s important to take time to appreciate and enjoy the simple things in life. For many years she painted mostly with watercolors but eventually transitioned to oil painting. For the last several years she has been working hard to improve, and feels like the best thing has been developing the habit of regularly painting from life observation. She has found that the more she learns, the more she realizes she doesn’t know, and she loves it all.
