Eliza Hoffman

Art has always been Eliza’s passion. It started with the encouragement she received from her grandfather, who also was an artist, and with the mentorship of Ms. Betsy Miller from Colors of the Heart Studio. Her love for art became stronger through involvement in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR) school art competition. In 2021, through HLSR, Eliza discovered her love for oil painting at the Western Art Academy summer program. Since then, it has become her primary medium. She has participated in events through the Oil Painters of America (OPA), including the 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 Western Regional Exhibitions as well as the 2023, 2024, and 2025 Student Art Competition. In 2024, Eliza was selected as one of Southwest Art Magazine’s “21 Under 31” artists.  Her art was chosen to be a part of the 34th OPA National Exhibition.  As she moves on to college at the University of Texas at Austin, Eliza plans to keep painting in hopes of becoming a professional fine artist.
