Tanner Steed is a Denver, Colorado-based oil painter whose work blends the refined traditions of classical painting with a modern sensibility and a deep sense of global exploration. Steed’s artistic journey is shaped by his world travels, which provide both inspiration and a wealth of material for his studies. He paints on location around the globe, capturing the essence of each place he visits. His extensive travels have taken him to destinations such as La Napoule, France; Rome and Florence, Italy; Cairo, Egypt; Hawaii; and Alaska, where he creates studies that not only document these locations but also embody his own unique interpretation of the world.
Steed’s technique and style have been profoundly influenced by his daily studies under contemporary master Daniel Sprick as he works next door inside of Quang Ho’s studio, further refining his approach to composition, light, and the subtleties of human form.
Steed has shown his work in prestigious exhibitions in 2025 such as the Governor’s Art Show at the Loveland Museum, Oil Painters of America National Exhibition, and he is also an exhibiting artist at Broadmoor Galleries. Through his commitment to realism and a unique global perspective.
