Larry Winborg
Larry Conrad Winborg grew up in southern Idaho and decided to be an artist at a very early age. At Utah State University, he completed a Master Degree in Fine Art. Larry became a very accomplished illustrator and his work has been featured in Sports Illustrated, Reader’s Digest, Audubon Magazine, and many other national publications.
I grew up in southern Idaho on the banks of the Snake River. Taught by my parents to see, and love the western landscape, the picturesque cowboys, cowgirls, native Americans, and of course the beautiful horses. I believe the cowboy to be an American folk hero whose working lifestyle hasn’t changed much in over a century and a half, and I hope it never does. It is a thing of beauty, and I love to paint it in deep rich color.
For many years, Larry and his wife Sydne, owned and operated their own gallery in Logan, Utah, exclusively selling Larry’s work. His work can be found throughout the United States in both private and corporate collections and his original paintings have been shown in galleries and museums throughout the United States. Larry’s work has consistently been accepted in regional, national and international art shows.
