Yi-Ching strives to capture the essence of each moment—whether it’s an emotional connection or a unique interaction with a place or scene. She paints from life, working en plein air or in the studio with her subject directly in view. Her expressive style features loose, confident brushstrokes in vibrant, bold colors, with each mark placed thoughtfully and with intention.
Yi-Ching is a member of Oil Painters of America (OPA) and the American Impressionist Society (AIS). She has been juried in as an Associate with Distinction by American Women Artists (AWA), and is an Artist Member of the California Art Club (CAC)—a status achieved by about 8% of CAC members.
Her work has been juried into numerous national and local exhibitions, where she has also received many awards. Yi-Ching holds degrees in Computer Science and Business Education from U.S. institutions and has spent over 30 years in commercial development and real estate. She currently lives and paints in Pasadena, California.
