As a 1980 graduate of The Ringling School of Art and Design, Bill Farnsworth has spent more than 40 years as an Illustrator and Fine Artist. Born in Norwalk Connecticut in 1958, Bill spent most of his life in New Milford Connecticut painting landscapes of the rural area, while supporting himself and family with his growing illustration career. Farnsworth is a Fellow in The American Society of Marine Artists, Master Signature Member In both NOAPS and The Oil Painters of America. Bill is also a Signature member of The American Society of Impressionists. In 2023 he was elected to an ARC Associate Living Master.
Bill won the Bronze medal for 2024 OPA Eastern Regional show and 2nd place In the 2024 NOAPS Best of America show.
Farnsworth says” through intense observation we begin to feel empathy for our subject and from that, comes understanding”.
