Artist's Statement
This is an Alaskan brown bear feeding on Sockeye Salmon during the salmon run. This bear would be on one of the salmon streams in Alaska. I was able to see this bear many times while guiding in Alaska. They are feeding to be sure they have adequate protein prior to hibernation.
